Merit, Dynamis, Gods, More Adventure!

Sorta big update:
Of course, a lot of dynamis again I have done for the past weeks. I missed one Monday run (which is the more important run) and I think I'll be missing next week's run again also :( We'll see... We've done northlands a lot and I think, we won't be doing cities that much for the upcoming weeks.

We actually got a total of 7-8 AF2s the recent Xarcabard run we've done (Friday run).

We still been unlucky on Dynamis Lord. We'll get him again soon (hopefully).

We've also done a run in one city, which is Windurst but yea, as always, I forget to take screenshots of the drops. Though, I was pretty happy of the turn out. The WAR AF2 was free lotted and I actually won making me 1/5 for WAR. The NIN dropped also which I got (2/5). I won the lot for SAM AF2 but I passed it at the end. I'm still far from that level since SAM is only 42.

The screenshots of the drops above are missing some drops. I'm not used to getting screenshot right away when something drops in dynamis >.<; Even in some events we do. I'll get used to it more hopefully. hehe.. Don't forget the deaths!

We've killed a few Sky gods. We haven't fought Byakko though, but we are planning to do that tonight. I was impressed from the number of people we had and we actually straight tanked all the gods except, of course, when we got into troubles, we kited then straight tanked again. So far, very minimum mistakes we've made and we've got a lot of loot! A lot of abj. and a few money items!




On top are just a few screenshots of the drops. Again, I forgot to take screenshots of other drops. Some abj. and money items dropped. I was having fun being a DD NIN too!



I thought these weren't that bad damages since I was tanking, changing macros from one to another for melee and tanking.

I've been working to improve my gear on WAR. Hopefully, I get some luck on synth'ing cursed items since I haven't made one since I got 100 on my WW.

Friends and I, 4 of us did a Limbus run. All I can say is, Fran doesn't like the taru and wants his Ridill on me.. :(



That's about it for now. We did usual assault runs on Fridays and some random events with friends like Ugga Pendant which we went 1/4 I think or 1/3 (can't remember how many runs we did lol).

I got a week off from school and it has been pretty productive. I got a job interview with one of the biggest cable companies here in Canada. It was rather a very stressful interview. I never thought I'll be interviewed that day either. I took an exam for the job too (another unexpected event). Some of the questions, I couldn't even remember the right answers anymore since it has been 2 years since I've done such stuff about the job. At first, I didn't want the job since it is requiring me to work anytime of the day for weekends. Sorta just worried about my school since it might get affected. But when I went in their building, I was like, wow, I wanna work in here. lol. It was a really good working place. Hope I get the job. '-')

Dynamis, merits, and other stuff!

I've been really busy in RL...School is pushing me to my limit occupying all my time to focus on it. I can't blame it though, of course lol. This is my future we're talking about here. Like I always tell to my friend, Pauk, I wanted to quit the game but who else keeps me playing it? Of course, my friends. But anyway, that does not matter now for I don't see myself quitting soon. Though, I am stuck again to just log in the game to do dynamis and when I have time, have fun playing my RDM and finishing up my merit. Anyway, let's see what happened for the past weeks:

Well what do we have here? I finally got an AF2 after doing over a year of dynamis. It is sort of like useless though since I have Haidate but of course, nothing will ever be this memorable getting my first AF2 for NIN after doing a year of dynamis. Thanks everyone in Limitless!

We've gotten a few drops from different areas. We've done mostly Northland areas these past weeks. Here is a screenshot of the drops:

There are a few more drops I didn't have the chance to take a picture of. We also did a run in Dynamis-Beaucedine. Not much were the drops and until now, Attestations for longsword and great katana haven't dropped for us. :(

Monday runs for the past 2-3 weeks have given us the chance to do new dynamis areas. We've done 2 runs, one in Dynamis-Buburimu and other is in Dynamis-Qufim. We did get a number of drops from Buburimu:

We got the win in Bubumiru but we ran out of time in Qufim. Antaeus actually died before the glass got cancelled but of course, on that 30 sec warning, we knew we can't get the win. A few mistakes were done but it was still a success. We just need to be more careful next time and it should be easier when we come back.

I got the chance to merit with a few of my friends. I was about 3 merits away to finish up STR and finally, I finished it yesterday. Now, just need to finish up the other merits to get done!

Lastly, I also got my RDM to 51, halfway to 52. There are a few more things that have happened like assault and other minor events. I have not parsed any merit party I've been to since I have just been in for a few. Next time, I'll be posting stuff about some merit parties I've been in. For now, I'll leave with a cool skill up I got not long ago:

New Year, New Beginning. . .

Happy New Years to everyone^^; Hope you guys had good holidays. Well for me, I just stayed home. Just a few things happened in the game.


3 of my friends went to sky, I think it was New Years eve, and there were no people in there. I got invited to come and we killed a few NMs in sky. We also killed Steam Cleaner but I forgot to get the screenshot of the drops. Only the stone anyway. Was really fun fighting them and after that, the day after, we fought Genbu (course, killed Olla first for the other pop item):


Got the Genbu's shield for my Redmage. Thanks to everyone who was there! Francheska, Yanzi and Andreas when we farmed the items. People who came a long for the Genbu fight, Bahamnut, Gotterdommerung, Jedimind, Keichii, and Imaginous (who's being played by Yanzi also). Congratulations to Payge on her A. hands.^^

Dynamis LS went to visit a City, Dynamis-Jeuno and got a number of AF2s. Screenshot below shows 2 AF2s drop from 2 consecutive mobs.


Well, I got my Redmage from level 43 to 50 in one day. Thanks a lot to an old friend Daveee which was on his other character, leveling (Frozenheart) with his ranger. It was fun party. I also finished my Redmage AF. Well, Miser Murphy decided to not show himself when I was fighting him..


I also killed the doll NM after this. Pretty much solo'd it on NIN/WAR since my NPC got killed at around 85-90%. AOE sucked and I ended up having 100ish HP after the fight.

Well now that school starts tomorrow, I'm not sure what will happen to me with this game. I'm going to be busy again and trying to get a job since my seasonal job just got done last December. I still be attending dynamis every Monday and Friday but I'm not sure about level'ing my Redmage. Hopefully, I could find time for the experience and still makes me interested on playing more while on school. School makes me busy and takes my head away from the game for a while. We'll see I guess.

Merit experiece and a few more things in game. . .

There's a lot of things that has been happening around the game. Lately, I was thinking to get my COR up but I later decided to get my RDM instead. I thought I want to just have melee jobs but I guess, I should do a job that will benefit from me being as a tarutaru. I actually am enjoying the job. Now I'm trying to get it to the 60's coz...I really like its AF, hehe.

Lots of merits for the last recent weeks.

I got my STR to the 4th level and working for the last STR level. Hopefully will get it done before school starts again. Few rampages with WAR on some mobs:

I think they were not that bad rampages considering my axe skills and basic WAR equipments (don't have N. abjs, only n.feet). I would have better results with a few more gear modifications.

Recently was helping a friend of mine to get the drop from his NM but won't drop it for him. The item is only 20k at the AH (last sale), it's just that, no one would sell them. ; ;. I guess it does have a really low drop rate. After a pop, we went in Labrynth of Onzozo to have a visit with some NMs inside. We got a few drops:

Dynamis has been very exciting too. I joined the LS Limitless not long ago and last friday, we did an unofficial Dynamis-Xarcabard. We got a total of 4 AF2s. We also did Dynamis Lord that night and I got nothing to say about the awesome drops we had from him:

The Past, Present, and Future . . .

Welp, it's always a good thing to recall a few things in my FFXI career. Soo, what really made Ishmaell?

I started playing FFXI around the end of the year 2003 as a Tarutaru whitemage. I was invited by a good friend of mine who worked with me in RL to this game though, I actually bought the game already before he ever told me he was playing too. I started in a different server (Alexander I think) but got a world pass to Quetzalcoatl from my friend. After getting my taru whitemage to 61, I suddenly realize that it was not really fun for me. I then started to make gils to level Ranger. One guy "inspired" me of how Ranger was really a fun job back then (Boondocksaint). Good friend of mine^^.

I then got invited to join a God LS named ThousandSwords which was lead by Sandroi. The leader then was passed on to Atiba and we revived the linkshell who was then become known as Affinity. Lots of months passed, we became one of the dominating linkshells in Sky. But of course, everything has an end and everyone has to move on. Below is a video I made for the greatest linkshell I have ever been in:

The linkshell has to move on also, it has been revived to Fury who still exists today.

I left endgame because of a few reasons in RL. The main reason is because of school.

As of right now, well, I still play :D ~ My present status is just having fun playing with my friend in the holidays and getting my merits done. I also plan to get COR to 70+ when I have time to experience it when school starts again. Hopefully, one day, I'll be back in action in the endgame part of this game.

Now back to merit parties :D

Why hello everyone! I started my post about my FFXI adventures today and hopefully, everyone will enjoy their stay. :) For those people who does not know me, welcome.

Just want to give a brief description of my blog. It will feature all adventures I experience in the world of Vana'diel from this day. Well, I might also be posting a few things about the past so that a few people who reads this blog will know a few history of me. My next posts will probably feature a few things in the past.
